Before anything else, one breath
That is where every class with Cathy starts. Forty years of teaching, one breath at a time.

ii Ground
Qualified in 1985. Still learning every year since.
Cathy has studied many styles and schools of yoga over four decades, and her teaching draws on all of them. She runs classes and workshops, works one to one as a yoga therapist, and keeps up to date with the latest research on yoga and health.
What moves her most is what yoga can do therapeutically: helping people move, breathe and feel better in the body they have today.

iii Move
Three ways in.
Pick what you need.
Whether you want a weekly class with good company, a long afternoon going deeper, or an hour that is entirely about you.
Weekly classes
Small group classes for all levels, shaped by forty years of practice across many traditions. Come as you are.
02Workshops
Longer sessions that go deeper into one theme: breath, philosophy, or a part of the body that needs care.
03One-to-one yoga therapy
A practice built around you: an injury, a long-term condition, stress, or getting back to movement. Grounded in current research on yoga and health.
iv Teach
Every teacher she trains carries it further.
Cathy has been a tutor on the Yoga Scotland Teacher Training Course since the 1990s and is now its Assessor Co-ordinator. Her focus is a safe, supportive place where student teachers learn every part of yoga, and grow as people while they do it.

v Reflect
Yoga, off the mat.
One of Cathy's favourite books is Mindful Yoga, Mindful Life: A Guide for Everyday Practice by Charlotte Bell. She dips into it for ideas on bringing the philosophy of Patanjali and the Buddha into ordinary days.
Not only something we practise. Something we carry into how we live.
That is the thread running through every class she teaches.
I have never done yoga. Can I come?
Yes. Classes are for all levels, and Cathy offers options for every pose so you can work at your own pace from the first session.
What is yoga therapy?
A one-to-one practice built around your body and your goals, such as recovering from an injury, living with a long-term condition or managing stress. Cathy designs it with you and adjusts it as you progress.
I have a health condition or injury. Is yoga safe for me?
Tell Cathy when you book so she can adapt the practice. If you are unsure, check with your GP or physiotherapist first.
What should I bring?
[Mat provided or bring your own], comfortable clothes you can move in, a layer for relaxation and some water.
What if I need to cancel?
[Cancellation policy, for example: cancel up to 24 hours before for a full credit.] Full details are in the terms and conditions.
